On July 11, Pittsburgh Anti-Sweatshop Community Alliance (PASCA)organized a peaceful march and carnival to support the National Garment Workers Federation of Bangladesh and to demand that Major League Baseball eliminate the use of sweatshop labor in the production of its apparel and merchandise.
The march and carnival were joined by the United Workers Association (UWA) and Camden Yard stadium workers who, in addition to supporting the anti-sweatshop campaign, called on Baltimore Orioles owner Peter Angelos to support a living wage for stadium workers.
Video features speeches and interviews with Kenneth Miller, Celeste Taylor, and Michelle Gaffey of PASCA, Tom Kertes, an organizer for UWA in Baltimore, and Barney Oursler of the Mon Valley Unemployed Committee, and poetry by Vanessa German.
