Cornell ILR School and its Labor and Employment Law Program, 2011 Seminar on Monitoring Freedom of Association (FOA) under Corporate Codes of Conduct and Social Compliance Programs, to be held on Thursday and Friday, May 19-20, 2011, at the Cornell ILR NYC Conference Center in midtown Manhattan, NYC. Go to our website, www.ilr.cornell.edu/law/events [1], to register online, get more program information, see the agenda (also attached).
Cornell ILR faculty members Lance Compa and Sarosh Kuruvilla will lead the 3rd FOA seminar, as it continues its focus on the thorniest areas of labor standards monitoring: freedom of association, the right to organize, and the right to collective bargaining. This year’s program builds on our previous seminars and addresses the significant developments in the field since our last program in 2008. It will provide new and up-to-date content, with a focus on practice-oriented analysis and discussion of FOA standards and best practices in the field.
Registration is limited to 25 persons to ensure a highly participative learning and exchange experience.
Registration fee: $2,500.00
Fee includes all materials and breakfast and lunch on both days
Discounted rate is available to registrants from NGOs, non-profit monitoring organizations, trade unions, and other non-governmental, non-profit groups; please contact Stephanie Sutow at 212-340-2866 or esta_bigler_ILR-LEL@cornell.edu [2] for more information.
