Portland, OR — The city council session produced some drama, but it did not come from waiting for the vote. All three Portland city commissioners. wearing "Make Portland Sweatshop Free" stickers, were clearly committed to the proposal.

The drama came from the testimony of the witnesses, especially those who had firsthand experience working in sweatshops.

Many in the audience wore white "Make Your City Sweatfree" T-shirts and virtually all wore "Sweatshop Free" stickers.
